Dealer-sold Scratch & Dent protection memberships are typically expensive due to excessive Dealership markups and must be paid entirely upfront—often for a 4-5 year term—with little to no refund options if you’re unsatisfied. Memberships that are financed with the vehicle also attract interest on the membership increasing the cost even more.

Jim’s CAR Protect is not an insurance product or a replacement for any type of Insurance. It is simply a program designed to assist with the more minor damages that can still be expensive and inconvenient to repair. 

When you need us, each individual repair that falls within the member repairs guide will cost just the member low fee which is $50.00. We will always provide a quote to confirm the repair cost before commencing any work. For repairs that fall outside the membership repair guide that are still repairable we will provide a member discounted quote. 

Assuming a repair fee of $50, the repair quote will be $100.00 incl gst.

Repairs can take between one and five hrs depending on the severity and where on the car your damage is located.

This can vary but generally speaking within one hour

You can request one repair every month if required

Repairs are carried out by Jim's Scratch & Dent Franchisees, all of whom are qualified tradesman and police checked. If there is not a Franchisee available in your area we also utilise Jim's accredited contractors. 

Repairs can be carried out in any private driveway or car park that has access to power that is within the service area. Repairs cannot be carried out in underground car parks or in public areas and roads.

This would be at Jim's S&D discretion and if agreed it would require a vehicle inspection at the then current inspection cost.

On completion of the repair direct to the technician by credit card or eftpos.

Yes all completed repairs come with a limited llifetime warranty. Liimited to the time you own the car.
